Marmorino is a marble-aggregate lime plaster that creates a finish resembling polished concrete — smooth to the touch but with visible natural pores and subtle stone-like texture. It is one of the oldest forms of Italian plaster, predating what most people think of as venetian plaster, and produces a distinctly different aesthetic.
Marmorino has been gaining popularity with clients who want the look and feel of poured concrete or natural stone without the weight, cold, or expense. The natural pores and slight texture variation give it an honest, architectural quality that feels modern yet timeless. We often recommend marmorino as a final-course finish for clients who want understated luxury.

Our Process
Surface Preparation
Walls are skim-coated to a smooth, level surface — marmorino requires a clean, stable base.
Base Coat
A primer coat is applied and allowed to cure, establishing adhesion and the base tone.
Marmorino Application
Two to three coats of marble-aggregate plaster are applied with a steel trowel, building the characteristic pore texture.
Polish & Seal
The final layer is lightly burnished and sealed with wax for protection and a subtle sheen.
